The year before last we got some super middle eastern themed Lego from the school fete. Sometimes we make it properly using the instructions but it’s so big we have to pull it apart to store it, so it is often used as creative Lego ….

I like seeing the kids follow the instructions and turn 2D into 3D, but I also love their own creations …  Like this boat Scarlett made last week.

And since then we’ve accumulated Lego friends for birthdays etc. This year Elise gave India a big set for her birthday, and then a set to Scarlett.

Elise has been a bit disappointed that India didn’t start hers … But India wanted to do it all by herself … And now Scarlett has some they can work side by side on their own projects.

The first day of the school holidays … India’s finished hers … Scarlett’s half way through …  And Jemima is setting up a game of hide and seek in the dessert oasis …
