I think I have mentioned that I have a new job at Alphington Community Centre. And next weekend we have a Christmas Makers Market, with stalls and a produce swap and some Christmas craft activities for the kids.
So, I have been looking in to Christmas craft activities. I made a board on Pinterest of inspiring ideas. Here’s one of my favourites.
Stand up Christmas trees. Made from recycled cardboard. I believe the cardboard will in fact be IKEA wardrobe boxes. Painted green. And decorated with bits and bobs.
This prototype is decorated with green water paint and shapes cut out of Christmas wrapping paper. Along with some sparkle in the form of golden stars. All stuck on with the trusty old Uhu stick.
Pretty cute huh? And cheap. And I reckon a collection of them would look super as the centrepiece down the middle of the table on Christmas Day!
A winner don’t you think?
If you come along next Saturday 5th December from 9.30am-12.30pm your kids might be lucky enough to get to make one (or two)!
Hey I really love this. My nine year old will be able to take this on all by herself which is always a great thing. Thanks for sharing.
